Location: Terskiy pedigree stud farm is located in p. Novotavryches Mineralovodsky district of the Stavropol territory.
Description: joint stock company "Terek breeding stud number 169" is the largest and most famous Russian enterprise for growing of purebred Arabian horses.
The stud farm was founded in 1889 by count A. S. Stroganov at the foot of the Snake mountains, then were brought the first purebred Arabian horses from Arabia. The plant was developed, horses were popular and successful with the largest breeders in the world. At the auctions held on the Terek plant, horses were sold for millions of dollars, and some price records still delight and remains unsurpassed. Thus, the American millionaire Armand hammer acquired the legendary Pesniar for more than 1 million dollars, and stallions Menes and Bearing sold totaling more than $ 5 million.
| Despite the dramatic events of the twentieth century, the company is proud to say that over the past few years, has revived its former name and glory of the plant. Currently in the Bank of Tersk stud hundreds of awards of Russian and international competitions. Livestock Terek plant employs 380 purebred Arabian horses, breeding mares of Tersk is a treasure of the breed, and the stallions are a valuable gene pool of the Russian and world Arab horse breeding.
